Day 9: Koh Tao & Koh Samui

Another lazy day for the Heckermachers. Honestly, it was Amanjirah's fault for being so darn pleasant. If they hadn't made their pool so lovely, with the incredible view and the swim-up bar and all, they might not have spent so much time there.

Unfortunately, they eventually had to leave to catch their ferry to Koh Samui.

Colorful boats on the ferry dock.

A different kind of colorful boats on the ferry dock.

The ferry ride was uneventful. They sat outside on the upper deck and let the breeze whip Anna's hair around their faces. It was too choppy to read and too loud to talk, so mostly they just let the motion lull them into an even greater sense of complacency.

The most exciting thing to happen on the boat ride was passing this island:

Which had a tiny little island (just one rock, really) poking up out of the water next to it.

Their suite at the Sandalwood Luxury Resorts in Koh Samui was way over the top:

Be careful what you do in the bed - Buddha's watching.

View of the bed from their second bedroom in the loft.
Unfortunately, they were only there for one night, so they couldn't take advantage of having two different beds. They did, however, figure out a way to use all three shower heads. No, there are not pictures.

Rose petals + kissing swan towels = rooooooomance.
They watched the sun go down from their balcony, then enjoyed a long dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Since they'd booked a kayak tour for early the next morning, they then crawled into bed for yet another early night.

View from their balcony.

Something about honeymooning in Thailand was turning the Heckermachers into senior citizens.
